FALL MUMS AND CHANGE

Dear Blogging Friends:
thank you for bearing with
me as I return to blog land after
a hard drive crash.....but not in a car!

So I give you this bouquet!  I think I need a
bouquet myself considering all the "new stuff"
I have to learn!  Yesterday I went out in the
garden and grabbed what I could find for my vase.

I have to confess here that I hate learning
new things - well at least in the computer
"tech" field.  This disease of not wanting to
learn new things gets much worse as
one ages..... not that I am ancient.
You see,
I was spoiled using Picasa for collages and
watermarking my pictures.  Not anymore.  I see
Picasa is no more so now I have to use a
new format which I have to learn.

Back to my garden blooms - this is
the weird assortment of what I found
 still surviving our cool nights.

The mums I rooted on the side
 of our house
got huge this fall!

As you can see the leaves are just starting to turn
but with so little rain this summer I think there
won't be a lot of color.

I hope you can join me next week for tea
related "Friends Sharing Tea" blog party on Wednesday.

  2. Hello Bernideen! Your flowers are vibrant and perfect Autumn colours. I am not techy myself so I know how you feel. I still use Picasa but I never did use it for collages. I always used PicMonkey for those although lately I'm even having trouble with that. If I have to pay for it then I will not be using it. I found even Inlinkz was getting expensive at the end. When I started out hosting my tea parties, it was free. Seems we can't do anything any more without having to pay for it. Anyway, I hope you feel more at home soon with your new computer program and we'll all be able to party next week.

    Hugs,
    Sandi

  7. Bernideen, your photos are lovely! Sorry about your computer. I am not a techie, so I really feel for you. I even had a tea cup and saucer photo for you today in the travel review post I just posted!

  8. Oh my Bernideen, I feel your pain! I'm not a techie, either! I couldn't pull up Firefox at all yesterday, and my son had to figure it all out, uninstall and reinstall an old version. I would never know how to do this! Anyway...your flowers look beautiful and you certainly do deserve a bouquet!

  9. Oh no, I am so sorry about your computer crash...no fun! My crashed two months ago and like you, I always used Picasa, but alas, can no longer get it. I must confess that I don't like the program that came with the laptop, but I guess I should be thankful I have something, right {{smiles}}

Your flowers are absolutel stunning! Thank you for sharing the photos. Hugs to you!

  11. I can totally relate to not wanting to learn new things on the computer. It took me years just to start doing email and websites. And I just recently got on facebook just so I could join the Take Peace group. Guess I'm just not a techie person. Would much rather spend my time creating something beautiful.

  13. Hi Bernideen,

Ugh, hate having to learn it all again too - pretty much had to about a month ago too. And I hate having to buy new programs again (like Word.)

I *highly* suggest using PicMonkey - for all photo editing, watermarking, collages, etc. It's soooo easy - in fact their motto is "Picmonkey - so easy even a monkey could use it!"

Your garden is still amazing. Mine was neglected with very little rain all summer. I was a very bad gardener!!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs. ♥

  14. Lovely lovely lovely flowers. I'm with you and the new tech stuff, most of the time. I do love my electronics but sometimes get impatient with the learning curve. I am still using Picasa - it is still available for dl and works the same - they are just not giving updates or tech help anymore - but I've not needed any so I keep using is as long as I can. I love how I can search for photos on it. Google wanted us to believe that it was completely going away - so we'd switch over to their platform but I just persisted and keep using Picasa. Nothing else is as good - I wonder why they have to change things when they are popular and work fine.

  15. I agree too. Just when I have my podcasts all set up in the library of my I-phone, an update comes along and knocks everything completely off. I noticed you seem to be having a problems with the "Follower" button too. Mine won't show followers, it's just blank as yours appears to me on your blog. Perhaps you're not having trouble with Goggle Followers and it just that it's showing black on your blog because I'm not getting it. Could you let me know if you're actually having trouble and if so, has anyone told you what's going on with it? Thanks in advance.

  16. Oh Bernideen, how awful! I have had that happen twice...once lost several years of vacation photos! And it is hard learning new programs. Hope it is working well for you. Your garden flowers are lovely! Mums are always so gorgeous in fall. Thanks for sharing your garden beauty, and success in your tech learning curve!
