TAKING A PAUSE

I am taking a pause here during this time.

I am very upset about the death of
George Floyd. This was horrible.
 I think it demands
justice and CHANGE
 in the police
force.

I am very upset about the looting,
rioting and destruction of private
proverty, the killing of the policeman
in St. Louis by the rioters and the
beating and harming of other people.

I feel I need to take a break as
what I usually post here seems to be
 unappropriate
during this time.

Thank you for understanding.

  1. I don't blame you one bit Bernadeen. The Dr. King quote is so true.

  2. These are disturbing times. This violence and death should not be happening.
All we can do from our homes is pray for an end to this. People should not
riot, but I am sure they feel a need to let the world know of the unfairness.
I pray to God that all will soon calm down. The life lost can never be
    recovered.

  3. Pretty flowers from your garden brighten spirits. Keep it up on FB, if you feel comfortable doing so. I always enjoy seeing your garden and pond!
Yes, there is lots wrong right now. God is in control - but evil is definitely out there and affecting us and our country.

  4. As Baby Boomers, we have lived through this before. The marching, the protests, the deaths, the lynchings, the assassinations of beloved leaders of all races. It is sad, that in 50 years we have not progressed, but have actually stepped backward in time.

The only difference now---is as a society we can see, and catch the acts of hate and ignorance---visually on phones and cameras. I'm with you Bernideen, though I think the hate and division is deeper than just the police force. And this has permeated society and been given permission by our 'leadership' and justice systems.

Martin Luther King also said, “The ultimate measure of a (wo)man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

WE MUST ALL STAND UP FOR CHANGE! Sandi

  5. Faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love. Together with faith and hope, may we find peace and love.
