EARLY GARDEN

We have had two lovely days of
spring weather and the bulbs
are happy.

The fish were happy to come up
out of the bottom of the pond after
a long cold winter.

Today was a big day at our house
as the tree trimmers came to
tackle pruning some huge trees
in our back yard.

We had gotten an estimate last
fall for this project so we are
very happy that it is done!

  1. I am just loving all these spring pictures! The flowers are blooming here, too and trees are leafing out. A wonderful time of the year.

  2. What amazing equipment! Gives me hope for being able to get an unruly spruce taken care of. Another wonderful post about your garden.

  3. Such pretty flowers blooming already! I really like the birdhouse and have a vintage table leg for my husband to mount a birdhouse on. Maybe we'll get some residents. 😉

  4. Oh, your spring flower garden is so lovely!! So happy and springy!! I love the daffodils especially, as we cannot grow them here in Florida and have to buy them in the grocery store, but they usually only have them in early March. They are my sister's favorite flower for her birthday, April 5th, but I can never find them anymore, so just have to give her pictures of them or silk ones. Thank you for sharing your lovely garden with us. And I am happy to hear you have Bluebirds building a nest! Our bluebirds already had their babies and they have fledged and gone away! But it was such fun watching them while it lasted. They may come back later and build another nest in a couple of months. That has been their "habit" over the past few years since we have lived here and put up the birdhouse. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful Holy Week.

  5. What fun seeing the koi survive another winter. Our blue birds have 5 eggs and they should be hatching any day. Your bulbs are delightful color to see. Just daffodils up here still, a few crocus. But our neighbors white magnolia survived the freeze we had just a couple days ago. and it is huge.

  7. Bernideen, I love visiting your garden. Especially in Spring. Right now our tall bearded irises are coming on strong, and that always makes me feel like Spring even on days when the weather is saying otherwise.
