I thought I'd take a little walk today as there are
greenbelts that run throughout our area and over near a pond.
They aren't so green now though - more brown.
I stopped to take a picture of some rocks when
from out of "nowhere" I suddenly had friends moving towards me.
Unfortunately, I had nothing to offer but friendship.
Looks like a good winter walk. Those ducks must be used to people feeding them...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
You have some colorful ducky friends. Not too much snow...excellent.
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful blog...
ReplyDeleteWinter can be brown, but there is a certain beauty in neutral winter scenes. Your ducky friends certainly added a spot of color to your pictures. I am always amazed that ducks and birds manage to stay warm with those bare legs and feet. There are times when I wish I had the same tolerance for the cold.
ReplyDeleteOh it is so beautiful. I know it seems gray, but I moved from the North to South and although I love seeing green in January I still miss the cozy snow. Not all the time mind you but I would love to see a little every now and then. *Smiles*
ReplyDeleteI love Mallards.
I'm not really sure the ducks were interrested by friendship, but at least they allowed you to take wonderful pictures. They look so colourful on the whote snow.
ReplyDeleteI love winter walks among the beauty of nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely duck shots.
Carolyn
Aww, it looks like you have made some new friends, they have the most vibrant colors on their plumage.
ReplyDeleteWinter is surely here, bare landscapes, browns and yellows, ooh, and lots of white ;)
Hope we have an early Spring, the daffodils are poking their shoots here !

Beautiful photos of the mallards! Sounds like you had a nice day, Bernideen.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings, Beth
What great pictures Bernideen! I am a big fan of mallard ducks, we had them out in the country, when I was growing up. They were always so cute and I couldn't wait for Spring and baby ducks, oh they are so sweet and precious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing back the memories.
