This little trip goes over by the mountains to
Manitou Springs, on through Green
Mountain Falls and lastly a few shots higher
up in the mountains of Woodland Park, Colorado:
As you can see, this restaurant in Manitou
Springs was
once the stage coach stop:
There are many Victorian era buildings here.
You'll probably be surprised though to see
the North Pole isn't far up the road!
I am taking these photos from inside our car....
The next stop was Green Valley Falls where we enjoyed lunch. There were some skaters on the pond when we arrived but by the time I took these photos, they had vanished.
I love this old church.
After we left Green Mountain Falls, we went
on to Woodland Park and I just took some photos
of some of the log homes and businesses:
I love these icicles!
Love all your snapshots of this charming place to visit... and how awesome that you got to see the North Pole in your lifetime :)
ReplyDeleteI like that church, too. Looks like some fun destinations!

ReplyDeleteMary
My goodness, everything there looks so wonderfully scenic!
ReplyDeleteYou and your hubby sure are having a fun time, Bernideen! Also, I loved seeing the kissing camels from Part 1!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are doing lots of sightseeing after retirement.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love the church picture!
ReplyDeleteI do love venturing out in the mountains of Colorado. Nice adventure! Thanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to drive through Bernideen! That stagecoach is great, as is the Inn. And the Hair Hut, too cute! I used to be a hairstylist.
ReplyDeleteJanuary is quickly passing us by! :)
