The two old but very sturdy file cabinets hold recipes, craft ideas, etc. I have lots of shelving to store tea things, sewing stuff, seasonal decorations, linens, etc too!
And a late addition to this post - the view out the window
of the Koi Pond!
This is why we moved to Missouri - my little granddaughter

What a functional ...and lovely creative space you have! Your grand daughter looks to be about the age of mine. We get to keep ours several days and nights a week while our daughter is a flight nurse....what a blessing she is! She is our youngest, we were working when the others were little and we didn't get to keep them as much. You have made so much progress on your new home, I am truly amazed...hugs...
ReplyDeleteBernideen this space is PERFECT! When I move/downsize I hope to have a space similar to store not only my tea things, but depression glass and vintage dishes. In no way do I have as much as you, but a substantial amount and want to be able to have it in an area that I can easily access for changing seasons! Love your new home! Your granddaughter is adorable! A very loving reason to move to Missouri! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow very perfect to have your own functional and beautiful space. I see a lot of happy crafting in your future, perhaps even with that beautiful granddaughter :-)

What a fantastic organized space! It looks very functional and a pleasant place to work. Your granddaughter is beautiful, by the way! And it looks like she inherited quite a bit of her grandmother's creativity. :D

ReplyDeleteWow!!! This is wonderful! I loved seeing your shelves of tea things, especially. :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, Bernideen...time for a coffee table book of tea parties! You have everything you need and more. Your granddaughter Lily must love hanging out at your place! (I have a special fondness for her name as it was my grandmother's name.) The fairy garden is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect, functional space for all your things, Bernideen! However, it's your granddaughter's adorable face and smile that captured my heart!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! How exciting to have a space for "creating." Your walk-out basement is just grand!

ReplyDeleteGoof for you!! What a wonderful space!! Love all the room for storage that you have! When my oldest son moved out several years ago, I took over his room and turned it into my Craft Room!! It is wonderful to have a room for your own, isn't it?? Thanks so much for sharing!! You have really got a lot done in your "new" home !! Your grand daughter is darling and so is the fairy garden!!
Hugs,
Deb
That's a great space!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely young girl Lily is, and how wonderful to have that time with her! Her fairy garden is sweet!
Bernideen, I can look at all sorts of fabulous, extravagant rooms decorated by famous interior designers and not feel so much as a twinge of envy. But *this* space? I'm soooo envious! Sewing machine (that doesn't have to be drug out of the closet every time) in front of the window, handy work table just behind, all that sensible and convenient shelving. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughters were here last week--our reason for moving to North Carolina! I understand completely, XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a great space my friend, for all your creations and sooo beautifully organized. I see an adorable little helper too... and talented like her grammy! She did a darling little fairy garden under glass!
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend.

ReplyDeleteOh I would love to have all that space inside the house. I have rolling stainless steel shelves in the garage for my storage. We have the same reason for moving and your granddaughter is so cute. I bet she is so happy to have you around....Christine

ReplyDeleteI'd be happy looking at all those teapots and that window is amazing. I've told people my study/crafting room is my reward for the empty nest.
