Welcome to Friday and "Tea In The Garden"
on another summer day in Missouri:
I set up this tea early yesterday in the garden.
It was windy and would soon become
very hot and
humid.
I hope you are having a lovely summer.
There are many
projects going on at our house as
my husband and our son are
restaining the deck.
With the rain we had the other day - it
is now time to mow the grass.....again!
I chose a couple little cottage teapots to
go with my theme today.
My teapots are English:
a Sadler and the one to the right is an
Arthur Woods.
This one (below) has lots of crazing but I don't really mind.
I hope you can join me for a teatime post
Bernideen, lovely! I don't mind a little crazing, but one of my favorites has a LOT of crazing. Wish I could find a way to prevent that. I'm not putting up a link today to my current post because it doesn't include a tea-related photo, just chocolate cake and my homemade chocolate cake mix.
ReplyDeleteI so wanted to join in with you tea party...but with the summer being so hot and a remodel from hell going on I've had little time to create. So I hope you don't mind me sharing one from the past...thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI think at this time of year we need to change it to ICED tea in the garden! Lovely setup, Bernideen, and your gardens are looking great!
ReplyDeleteGood Friday morning my friend. How lovely is your garden. I really like the umbrella cover...it's so pretty. We get so much wind here, it would probably just fly away! I love your cottage teapot too. Maybe someday when I visit Jim's family in Illinois, I could actually visit you! I feel like we have already met....gee we have been blog friends for many years now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Love,
Linda
Oh Bernideen, your table looks so inviting. The tea pots are so very pretty and the location for tea is great. All your beautiful flowers to look at. Wish I was there having tea with you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Mary
Your tea in the garden is so romantic, Bernideen, and oh, how I love your lace umbrella for your table! Both of your cottage scene teapots are very similar, aren't they? It's hard to choose a favorite one! Thanks so much for hosting and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Bernideen!!! Love the simplicity yet beautiful blog! It's stifling in Tampa today & stayed indoors. Have a beautiful Friday xo Love, Maribell :)
ReplyDeleteLovely tea in the garden you have shared with us, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the lace you used for the umbrella, gorgeous.
Enjoy your weekend~~
How charming! As much as I admire the splendor of Downton Abbey, I'd rather live in a cozy cottage like the one featured in your teapots! Thank you for hosting and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful tea pots! I'd love to find a cottage one!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'm going to get a tea in the garden post done!
A beautiful garden tea setting!
ReplyDeleteI love this post so much! Anything cottage just warms my heart! Your tea today is so lovely and your cottage teapots so sweet! Your book or cover is so beautiful! I Love A Little Cottage, so sweet! What a treasure to have! We both have a tea today using a umbrella, great minds think alike! We had a whole week of 80 plus weather and today it is down to 70 again, the usual for here. Enjoy the last month of summer, but then I bet you are going to have beautiful outdoor weather for a lot longer than me! Thank you for hosting your Tea in the Garden party!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Nancy
