I adore the charming English Garden
style of mixing
cottage flowers together.
Today we are in the garden
and we can all pretend for a bit
that we don't have a care in
the world.
I think this is what I love about
a garden. "It is a place to escape
and experience something else
than the usual routine."
Last Saturday our subdivision had
a garage sale and we participated
which is not my idea of fun but
I was happy to get rid of some
unwanted items. How about you?
We have the feeling we always get
which is that spring has gone way
to fast this year since it came late.
On Sunday it rained all day and all
night which was really too much
for my peonies.
Below, I am
sharing a "new to me" teapot
which is called Chelsea Chintz
by Windor - English.
If you would like to bake these
Lemon Scones
the recipe can be found here.
Bernideen, this is beautiful. And I have to admit that I am obsessed with your beautiful garden. But today, I am loving the blue teapot. All those ruffles really appeal the girly girl in me. Just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy dear Bernideen, it was such a joy spending time with you in the garden. Oh, what lovely china you have and the lady tea pot is just too sweet. Thank you for brightening my morning. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLovely as usual. Love the new teapot. Wish I was sitting there sipping tea from it and nibbling one of those scones. Yes, neighborhood sales are alot of work. I will do one this summer and have a lot to get rid of waiting for the sale. Everytime I do one I say this is the last time.
ReplyDeleteI love a cottage garden. Its my favorite, and I love to mix all the flowers into beautiful bouquets like you've done. I'm planning a seating area in my cottage garden and I hope to find a nice table and chairs like you have.
ReplyDeleteSweet new teapot!
This is beautiful! I wish I was there enjoying tea with you.
ReplyDeleteI have been decluttering, and at first I was thinking I would just donate everything. Then I thought maybe I will have a yard sale and make a bit of cash. Not sure if that bit of cash is worth the frustration of a yard sale, though.
Blessings,
Patti @ Celebrating Our Days
Your garden is so dreamy! I would love to have one just like it.
ReplyDeleteBernideen, wish I'd been there for your new teapot's maiden voyage in your beautiful garden! Thank you for hosting. Your scones look perfect! I make my sausage rolls small, perfect for afternoon tea or hors d'oeuvres.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tea time setting! I'm still waiting for my peonies to bloom. Hope that the garage sale was a success! I would rather go to garage sales than host one. HA! Thanks for hosting!
