HIGH TEA VS AFTERNOON TEA

I came across a great video that

explains the difference between

Afternoon Tea and High Tea.

Hope you enjoy !

Unlike last year, we did not have any

 snow for

Christmas!

This was last year in

a neighbor's yard!

  2. We got 10 inches of snow over night Christmas eve. Merry Christmas for St. Nick to get his reindeer out with packages. There's lots of snowmen around here now.

  3. Thanks for the video! I always thought high tea was the fancier more formal tea! Can't wait to have tea parties again with my gal pals and will use my beautiful tea cozy from you! Happy New Year!

  4. Of course we didn't have any snow either, but we live in Florida, so that's probably a good thing! We did have freezing temperatures, however, and so it could have snowed, but it didn't. Now we are back to 80 degrees. As far as high tea and afternoon tea goes, I will have to check out the video. I just enjoy any kind of tea in the afternoon, especially in the wintertime when it is cold...and also in the spring or summer when we can have tea in the garden or on the porch. I don't need fancy stuff to enjoy it...I just love having a friend to enjoy it with! But it is fun to dress it up and do things special once in a while. I'd love to be treated to a "high tea" sometime! Happy New Year!

  5. Happy New Year, Bernideen! I love a snowman but it has been years since I built one.
We did not have snow either for Christmas which suited my hubby and me just fine. ;-) We have lots now but it was wonderful to not have to wear boots for a while to get out for a visit.
I had been praying too for the States regarding the election. What affects Americans also affects Canada and the rest of the world. My son and his family also live down there so I had many reasons to be praying. My heart has been heavy!
I did read some previous posts as well and learned a number of things. Seems we have a few things in common which I didn't realize before. I didn't have my mother's blessing either when I married my dear hubby. It took her over forty years to realize she was wrong. Unfortunately, it threw up a wall as far as family relationships went. It broke my heart, but sometimes life doesn't work out the way you had hoped. We learn and hopefully grow from it, being very careful not to allow bitterness to take root. Our trials make us better and hopefully more compassionate to the needs of others. It is always a pleasure to visit you, my friend! Wishing you much JOY and good health in this new year.
