SUNDAY CELEBRATION

Today I would like to share my collection
of very old antique Bibles and vintage inspirational books.
I bought quite a few in Des Moines, Iowa in the
1970's when I was in college.

Many of these are from the 1900's and some from the 1800's.......

And of course - my Gideon Bible that was
given to me in 3rd grade in public school -
 sadly things have sure changed!

This was a repost!

  3. I enjoyed that, thank you. Also, I'm a Gideon, and think it's kind of neat when people have had them from childhood.

  4. Those are some good-looking old classics. Bible given in public school? I didn't know that was done so recently.

  7. You have a wonderful collection of Bibles. Before surgery I was unpacking books for the library we just put in and found many of our grandparents and parents Bibles. I was so happy to have them. I thought someone else in the family had them.

  14. Hi Bernideen, your Bible collection is so sweet and yes it is so sad what our public schools have omitted and what they have become. I have my 3rd great grandmother's 1856 Bible, I was thrilled to get it.
    I'll be seeing you soon!
