HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY:
Most of you know I don't do a lot of personal photos here but yesterday on Mother's Day we went with our family to Finger Lakes State Park north of Columbia, Missouri and yes - I even did paddle a kayak myself across the winding lakes with my son and daughter in Law.
Keith, Bernideen, Grandson Pete, Daughter In Law Shannon, Son Chad and Grandaughter Lily.
They advised me not to take my good camera in the kayak! I did get a photo of this sweet finch this morning:

What a lovely picture of you and your loved ones, Bernideen! You will never get me in a kayak. You're very brave! I'm so glad you could spend Mother's Day with your family this year. The goldfinches are my favourite little feathered friends and we have lots of them now. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your day.

It's weird - as you know how I feel about Goldfinches....for some odd reason after my husband changed our seed ours kinda quit coming around and all sorts of OTHER birds arrived instead. Well, I complained, because, well, it is the name of our house for one thing.....so he went back to the old seed, and they're slowly but surely arriving. But I have been most vexed by this!
