With the first day of autumn this Thursday,
it's
time to pull out some fall decor!
Sometimes the colors of fall - especially orange can be a bit of
a challenge but I just go ahead and enjoy them anyway.
The day I went with friends to Greenwood, Missouri, I found 2 large moss green and dark plum pillows to add to our sofa -

I have moved these etagere's to the kitchen. Do you
decorate for different seasons? Some people don't except
for Christmas but I guess I love "changing" things and
look forward to each season.
I love the way you have decorated for Fall. Your home is amazing my friend. Sending blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decor! Love all your teapots!!
ReplyDeleteI do love seasonal decorations, even with the orange. I change my mantel for every season, then have bouquets from the garden around the house. In the winter the bouquets come from the market.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful autumn decorations you did. I am admiring. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteI did the very same yesterday! It feels so cozy to see all the fall colors both inside and out now! Lovely home, Bernideen - it's so hard to believe you haven't been there long, you look so settled in!
ReplyDeleteGreat fall touches in your home Bernideen!
ReplyDeleteI like your fall touches. Not too much but just enough. Fall is a LONG season -- from September (sometime) through Thanksgiving -- much longer than Christmas or Easter!
ReplyDeleteBut I LOVE fall and relish those fall days.
Martha
Lovely fall decorations, I like the warm colours. My home decorations also change with the seasons. Now we still have wonderful warm late summer weather but within a few weeks it will change and then when we spend more time inside I love to bring the autumn atmosphere inside.
ReplyDeleteI think you have picked some good colors. Some of those oranges are so bright! You have a beautiful collection of fall themed china. So cozy for fall. I hope fall is beautiful for you!
ReplyDeleteThe Spirit of Autumn, everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteAnd no matter what the reason, no matter if you use them to store pots and pans or bags of flour and sugar---the sentence, "I have moved these etageres to the kitchen," has the most juxtapositional charm of any post I've read in quite some time.
So many visions, so many ideas.

Your Fall decorating is lovely, Bernideen. I love your little cupboard displaying all your lovely china pieces and the sofa in the loungeroom is lovely. Those etageres are cool. Everything does look rather beautiful. Here in Australia we don't really decorate for Fall but I love how you Americans decorate for different seasons, celebrations etc.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely, Bernideen!
ReplyDeleteWhat charming fall decor! My seasonal decorations are minimal, but I do try to rotate my teawares so that I get to see them!
ReplyDeleteyour fall colors are beautiful in your lovely home.
ReplyDeleteBernideen your house is so charming.I really like your painted open hutch with the brown transfer ware dishes
ReplyDeleteOh everything is so pretty. I love to decorate for the seasons - today I got out the autumn things - tomorrow is decorating day. Loved all your pretties.
ReplyDeleteI love your fall decorations, Bernideen. There is something so charming seeing the bits of fall colors tucked around your beautiful porcelain pieces. I used to decorate for every season, and a lot of it, but now I like just a few bits put around. I think it stands out better than so much, except for Christmas, then I have to eat my words!!..Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteBernideen, I love your autumn decor, especially the lovely twig sprays. I have done a bit of decorating and will do more starting Thursday. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteLove all your fall decorations! Your new home looks so pretty with the fall colors! You must be having fun decorating for the different seasons in your new home! Happy autumn to you!
ReplyDelete..Nancy
Beautiful Fall decor, Bernideen. I wish we could feel the autumn weather but it's still too hot here....Christine
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of orange either but just a bit as you have is enough for contrast. Lovely autumn decor Bernideen.
ReplyDeleteI brought out my 2 fall teacups, enough for me and a friend anyway. :-)
Bernideen, love your touches of fall! I have always decorated for the change of seasons and holidays. I'm sure there will come a day that I need to cut back, but hopefully not too soon!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYou have a large and lovely collection of autumn coloured fall decor. Those pitchers are so pretty. I have so much pink that the orange doesn't blend well but I must put up some Friendly Village china pretties soon. I am getting lazy lately and may end up leaving my red transferware until Christmas. I am sorry about your back pain... likely all of your lifting in your move has done damage. Hopefully it will subside with time and if you can take life easier. Blessings, Karen
You have some beautiful fall china! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
