We have some lovely weather again so
why not get out and enjoy it!
I have a few treats left over from my Afternoon Tea
that was Sunday so pour
that was Sunday so pour
yourself a cup of tea to go with your sweets.
The mostly brown leaves are just
starting to
fall down in our yard. There is still
a lot of green but
the air says that fall is
definitely here.

We are excited to have a new Koi fish
in our pond
who we named "King Josiah":
Let's sit a moment for tea and let me show
you this lovely book with drawings
by the late Edith Holden. I have shared
her books before and these pictures
are from "The Nature Notes of An
Edwardian Lady".
If you are a blogger, I hope you can share a post about tea
today and link at the bottom of this page.

Bernideen, such a beautiful post! Your flower arrangement is stunning. I love the way you have all the rust flowers in a group and the orange flowers, giving them the same "weight" as the hydrangeas, with only the roses being "individual" flowers. Gorgeous! My teatime treat today is one that both my husband and I could eat every single day, we like it that much. Hope you will, too.
ReplyDeleteI love to have Tea in your garden, Bernideen, it looks so peaceful and inviting.
ReplyDeleteYour white picket fence and lovely yard sure make a beautiful background for your tea party. Enjoyed the visit with you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasure it would be to sit with you in your garden and partake of tea and treats, Bernideen. Your new koi fish is delightful. I love your pond! You have a real little haven there. Thank for hosting and enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
PS~ I meant to mention how lovely your flower arrangement is. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAs always, you share with us a truly lovely teatime, Bernideen.
ReplyDeleteI have had so many little teas lately but haven't taKen a single pic of them - just having so much company, or tea time for myself and just enjoying it.
I fail blogging big time these days, and for that I am truly sorry.
King Josiah is neat! Hope your fish do well.
Did I tell you my nail salon has a huge tank with two huge koi fish in it - and I asked them once what their names are.........and they said they didn't have names...so I asked permission to name them, and the husband and wife team were amused and said yes.........so they are now officially called MANI and PEDI. Everytime I visit the salon they say EVERYONE loves the names.
Haha. Life is funny, isn't it?
Have a fabulous weekend. Love and hugs. ♥
Hi Bernideen,
ReplyDeleteYou are so fortunate to have your tea in the garden. It looks so beautiful with your lacy umbrella. Our weather has been very rainy and dismal this week and so it is nice to see your outdoor tea time. Your flowers are beautiful. Hope you can relax this weekend. Thank you for hosting Friends Sharing Tea. Blessings, Karen

ReplyDeleteI love your pictures, Bernideen! Thanks for hosting...Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely setting in the garden. The plaid throws are a nice touch. The bouquet is beautiful. Love the book too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely outdoor tea! I envy your autumn and the lovely weather you are having! We have had so much rain lately and weather in the 40's. I am afraid no more garden teas for me! Your yard looks amazing, made for tea time! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea in the autumn garden! Thanks for inviting me today!
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been very rainy the past couple of days and most of our glorious foliage is disappearing from the trees. But it has been a beautiful season and we do need the rain most desperately, so no one is complaining here.
A beautiful post! Love the teapot with yellow roses.
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen! What handsome new Koi! And your table is lovely! I found my Edith Holden Nature Notes...knew I had it somewhere...thanks for the reminder! Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteRuth
It would be a good time to take tea in garden with our family members.
ReplyDeleteAll looks great.
First I have to tell you how much your lovely comment meant to me dear Bernideen! Especially since I have always loved your beautiful posts. This tea looks perfectly wonderful! Every photo was like a mini vacation for me.
ReplyDeleteI also loved your taking us with you to St. Charles and sharing your beautiful blooms in your last couple of posts. I wish I could grow allium here. I think it's against the law for us in Idaho to grown it because of the onion crops here. I'm not sure that's the reason, but no company will ship it here. They just say no shipping to Idaho. I know that the nurseries aren't able to carry it or the common white lilac because of a certain fungus the lilac carries.I don't know what the situation is with the allium however. It's such a beautiful bloom!
That was so nice to have tea in the garden with you. The setting is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful setting - I always love the way you put on a tea. That book is one of my favorites - I have a first edition and it is my special treasure.
