Today we took company to the
Yankee Peddler's Tea Room in
Osage Beach, Missouri:
You can see my friend entering above.
This tea room is much like a trend
across America where tea rooms are
like luncheon cafe's with delicious
salads, soups, quiche and sandwiches,
etc. There were quite a few men in
the room and they seemed to really
enjoy the food too.
This was a wonderful find for me
at the tea room as I found a
plate that matched my
cup and saucer.
Afterwards we went to an antique
shop nearby. This is like a little
village of wonderful shops.
The food at the Yankee Peddler's is really
quite delicious. Their presentation is
lovely too and I especially love their
specialty salad with nuts in it.
I will be sharing another tea room next - one
where we will be enjoy true Afternoon Tea!
Lydia and I went to that tearoom last Sunday during our weekend stay at a friend's lake house. We had broccoli and cheese quiche, not so good. The dessert and salad was good though. It is such a cute little village there though isn't it? The antique shop was fun, couldn't stay long because nobody else wanted to look in it. So I'll have to go back another day.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and your friends enjoyed it! xoxo
Bernideen, my friends and I just visited the Yankee Peddler a couple of weeks ago, too! It’s always a fun place to have lunch (I think I had the same salad you enjoyed). I found two small pewter cream pitchers. Those shops in that complex are fun to visit. Have a great day! Zenda
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finding the lovely plate to match your cup and saucer!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to visit, Bernideen! you find the best spots to enjoy tea and treats.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a special day with friends. I love seeing guys enjoying a tearoom too.
ReplyDeleteWe did some of our missionary training in the Camdenton area and I really liked Osage Beach. Its been 26 years since we’ve been there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat tearoom. I do like tearooms that offer options beyond the traditional afternoon tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute tea room. Green Bay is getting its first tea room. I hope they can make it in this town that lives and breaths football and brats and cheese curds.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you. xo Diana
