I am sharing my new vintage quilt
I got at the Warson Woods Antique Mall
in St Louis last week.
I have been looking for a red and
white one for a while and I am happy.
I usually do all my indoor decorating
in one very long day but this year I did
it over a four day period taking more
time and not rushing. I guess I am now
officially guilty of putting things in same
place as last time.
My tea cart out in the kitchen was
the perfect spot for my red
transferware
tureen.
I love baking and enjoying special foods during this season although I have concerns about what is happening to my waistline for sure. What will you baking this year?
We always enjoy getting out the
nativity my husband's Mom gave us
years ago. It is well over 100 years old.
I am sure you can relate to the fact that
every year I promise myself I will get
more done than I do. I think I will have
time for more baking and
crafting but where does time go?
I love curling up on the sofa in a nice
warm robe and reading these lovely
English publications and Hoffman
Media specialty magazines.
fun decorating
as I did...
Bernideen, taking your time probably made the decorating much more enjoyable. Everything looks festive and beautiful. Wish my little house had more space, as I pretty much just have a small tree up. But do I ever enjoy the lights at night and on dark days. Have a wonderful Christmas Season.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so lovely! I guess I am working in reverse in reading order! Your red and white quilt is exquisite! Perfect for Christmas! Yes, I am taking my time this year after being sick for over a week. The only thing is the mess of all the totes full of decor that are scattered about while I pull out things and decide what to put out and what not to...and then the tree...we will do that tomorrow I think, Lord willing. Then all the boxes can go back into storage until we are ready to put everything away again. Baking? I don't do a lot of it anymore as we really don't eat that many sweets and I guess I just don't have the time to do a lot of baking unless there are people to eat it. I will bake cookies as we get a bit closer to Christmas, or my son will do it as he is the baker now...if he has time. We shall see what develops. Meanwhile, have a blessed Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteYour new quilt is fabulous! I did enjoy decorating, Bernideen, as it makes me happy. I have always loved your style!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful quilt! I always love to find vintage treasures. Baking at Christmas is always Swedish treats to enjoy with family and friends.
