A BOUQUET, ACROSS STITCH and a Tea Room

Hello dear blogging friends!
I have to tell you what my husband said last night.
He said "it feels a lot cooler out now.
The sun has gone down and it is just 90 degrees"
I looked at him like "really"?
Yes, the heat is definitely here in Missouri!

Here is a collage of the Greenwood Country Tea Room:

This little teapot is one I have shared before
and is such a nice size for 1-2 ladies:

I went down into the basement tea room yesterday and made up a little bouquet.   I wanted to show you the fun sign I found in Greenwood, Missouri where we took our friends last week.
The sign was $10.00 - would you cross stitch this for $10.00?

  1. Retirement affords you many wonderful places to go and time to do the things you love. What a pretty teacup and the shape is really sweet. The teapot is very cute too. I also spied your little silver handled tray. I had seen one a few months ago and now I'm kicking myself because I didn't get it. Now it's in someone else's home. I do that a lot. Thanks for sharing and hosting. We're back to cool rainy weather again.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. Dear Bernideen, wow, 90 degrees Fahrenheit that is really hot! I wonder what the temperatures are like at home, it might be similar, but we are in England right now, so we escaped the early summer heat in Southern California.
Love your bouquet! Nothing can beat real flowers!
    Warm regards,
    Christina

  3. Lovely Bernideen! The tea room looks wonderful...so fun! As a cross stitcher...they take hours...and are really undervalued! Lovely! And I love the teacups. We lived in Redding, CA for a few years for a short term job my husband had...and I never got used to the summers when the night time temps were rarely below 80...which is why we live in Washington! Thanks for hosting, and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  20. I can see the cross stitch piece better here than on FB - it's pretty, love the colours and the $10 price! You created a beautiful bouquet from the garden and I can't imagine 90 F being a cooled down temperature. Is it just hot, or muggy as well? When we get temperatures that high, the humidity is up too because of our proximity to the lake.

  30. Bernideen, would I cross-stitch that for $10? Any kind of needlework makes me cross-eyed and crabby. If I ever managed to finish the piece, I'd probably think it should be priced at $500 (roughly 10 cents an hour!)! Thank you for hosting.
