Hello dear blogging friends!
I have to tell you what my husband said last night.
He said "it feels a lot cooler out now.
The sun has gone down and it is just 90 degrees"
I looked at him like "really"?
Yes, the heat is definitely here in Missouri!

Here is a collage of the Greenwood Country Tea Room:
This little teapot is one I have shared before
and is such a nice size for 1-2 ladies:
I went down into the basement tea room yesterday and made up a little bouquet. I wanted to show you the fun sign I found in Greenwood, Missouri where we took our friends last week.
The sign was $10.00 - would you cross stitch this for $10.00?
Retirement affords you many wonderful places to go and time to do the things you love. What a pretty teacup and the shape is really sweet. The teapot is very cute too. I also spied your little silver handled tray. I had seen one a few months ago and now I'm kicking myself because I didn't get it. Now it's in someone else's home. I do that a lot. Thanks for sharing and hosting. We're back to cool rainy weather again.

Dear Bernideen, wow, 90 degrees Fahrenheit that is really hot! I wonder what the temperatures are like at home, it might be similar, but we are in England right now, so we escaped the early summer heat in Southern California.
ReplyDeleteLove your bouquet! Nothing can beat real flowers!
Warm regards,
Christina
Lovely Bernideen! The tea room looks wonderful...so fun! As a cross stitcher...they take hours...and are really undervalued! Lovely! And I love the teacups. We lived in Redding, CA for a few years for a short term job my husband had...and I never got used to the summers when the night time temps were rarely below 80...which is why we live in Washington! Thanks for hosting, and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

I always lve to vist tea rooms, Bernideen! Your counted cross stitch piece is so pretty, and a deal at $10! I do love that darling teapot of yours, too, and the pretty bouquet. Of course your silver tray and the tiered tray that your hubby made is so pretty. Thanks for the party and stay cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy tea room, I'm sure you have enjoyed the visit there. I love the little cross stitch image, it has beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the party dear Bernideen ! Greetings from Germany

ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas, delphinium, and especially the red/white striped roses are beautiful! Love your teacup too. Hope it cools off for you soon - it's been in the 90s here all last week too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post Bernideen! I love all your china here. The blue tea cup is very pretty. The cross stitch sign is wonderful! Wow, 10 bucks! That is a real find.

The teacup is my favorite. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteBernideen thankyou for hosting. Your little cross stitch is so sweet. There's little appreciation for the work that goes into these things I find. At least it's found an appreciative home now. Love, Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteDear Bernideen, The new-to-you cross stitch is lovely! And Greenwood Country Tea Room looks like a great place. I'm sure your friends enjoyed going there with you. As always, your teacups and teapot are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteYou have created a beautiful tea room in your home! It 's been in the 90's here in NM but with little to no humidity, it's not too bad....hugs...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful teacup and teapot.
ReplyDeleteIn the words of Nelly, "Hot in.....So hot in herre.....So hot in....."
ReplyDeleteYour bouquet of flowers is gorgeous! Thanks for hosting and stay cool.
It is hot but just think a few months ago we were complaining about being cold :) Still we can drink hot tea in hot weather! Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteI can see the cross stitch piece better here than on FB - it's pretty, love the colours and the $10 price! You created a beautiful bouquet from the garden and I can't imagine 90 F being a cooled down temperature. Is it just hot, or muggy as well? When we get temperatures that high, the humidity is up too because of our proximity to the lake.
ReplyDeleteHi Bernideen, how fun that you and Keith took your friends to Greenwood, and to a tearoom! I have never been to Greenwood, but have always wanted to.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting and have a great week!
Gina
Dear Bernideen,
ReplyDeletethat looks all so pretty in your new area. The tea house is lovely and so are the new find. It is stiched with love and a very thoughtful quote. May be it was a gift for the own Mom. Thank you for sharing this nice post and for hosting this wonderful party. I share today a decoration idea of a customer of mine. She is a very talented Lady.
Best greetings, Johanna
So happy that you are having lots of fun in your retirement! Thats the way it should be! How wonderful to have your own tea room and place for crafts! Love your tea items and the cross stitch piece is so special! Thanks for hosting and hope its alright that I linked up without mentioning this party in my post!

ReplyDeleteOh wow! Another gorgeous tearoom! Thanks Bernideen!
ReplyDeletebeautiful teacups ... gorgeous flowers ... but, 90° being cool, I don't know about that!

Bernideen, every detail offers charm for your tea party. Love the cross stitch piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. I linked up. Hope the post qualifies for your party theme. '-)
Bernideen, would I cross-stitch that for $10? Any kind of needlework makes me cross-eyed and crabby. If I ever managed to finish the piece, I'd probably think it should be priced at $500 (roughly 10 cents an hour!)! Thank you for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYou always share such beautiful things! Thank you for linking up with the Art of Home-Making Mondays! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Thank you Bernideen!!!
