A PEACHY TEA for "Tea In The Garden"

I do hope your summer is going along splendidly.
Yesterday I made some Peach Tarts
 (instead of a pie)
for my "Tea In The Garden" so I hope you
are hungry.

We had a very hot day yesterday and in fact, they are saying this summer has been hotter - our first summer here too!
Please take a seat and pour yourself some tea:

I was so excited Monday morning when I noticed there were no more June Beetles or Japanese Beatles on the roses.  Maybe now I will actually get some to come to full bloom.

The bunnies are having a feast
 with the peach peelings:

I love this old teapot!

I love little drip catchers like these:

I used my Peach Pie recipe but instead of a pie, I cut out 3" rounds of the pastry dough rolled out and pressed them into a standard size muffin tin.

  1. Bernideen, I should've been there! Peaches (yellow peaches) are my favorite fruit, and your tarts look like peach perfection! I just made and froze (unbaked) a batch of fresh peach scones I'm going to post next week. Glad those bugs are leaving your roses alone!

  2. We've had a hot and dry summer over here too! Every August, there is a peach festival held in a nearby community. It's so popular that last year, they ran out of peaches for their sundaes! Your peach tarts look yummy and I'm admiring your brown transferwares. I'm also a fan of drip catchers. Thank you for hosting and have a great weekend, Bernideen!

  8. Your tea time is lovely as usual, my friend!

You know I have two of those wee birdie drip catchers - mine is tea stained as yours - means we're using them often (or catching drips too often most likely, eh? LOL.)

Very pretty outdoor area - makes for the perfect respite, indeed.

Have a wonderful weekend, Bernideen! Hugs! ♥

  12. Your tea is lovely, Bernideen. I love your teapot and the tarts looks wonderful! I didn't do a tea post this week because of the rain and then we weren't home much. I did however make a peach cake which I may share next week. It depends on how things go. Waiting for some news; sad news. Hope your weekend is going well.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  13. Hi Bernideen,
I love your transferware and teapot today. I have never seen drip catchers before and it is so dear with the wee bird. It has been very hot here too and I haven't been able to go outside much. Thank you for hosting Tea in the Garden. Blessings, Karen.
