GETTING READY FOR AFTERNOON TEA for "Friends Sharing Tea"

I am getting ready to have
my first tea downstairs this Sunday.
It will be fun. This will be my
first tea since we moved to Missouri
to live near our family.
 For everything to work -
I am doing a lot of organizing and
will be setting up a tea buffet.

I have tables and chairs to seat 31 ladies.
I am expecting 29 at the moment.

There is still lots of work to do but I
wanted to give you a peek of the room.
I will be
 baking all
day on Saturday!

I will serve both hot and cold tea
and water for those who don't want tea.

There will be 3 savories, 3 sweets and
scones with cream.  Of course
there will be iced tea and hot tea.

I will share the event photos later.
That is - if I remember to get my camera!

  1. Your entrance way to your home looks so welcoming, Bernideen. Your tearoom looks so organized and perfectly wonderful for your first tea. Oh how I'd love to be a lucky guest at your party! I can't wait to see pictures. Maybe someone else can take the photos since you'll be busy. Thanks for hosting and happy tea party tomorrow!

  2. What a welcoming, festive setting you've created!! And what a happy occasion this will be. You've really prepared a beautiful welcoming for all your guests. I knew you were serious about your guests, but this level of hospitality, with all the chairs in their lovely prom dresses, and all the dainty teacups awaiting---this is not just a serious dedication, but practically NUCLEAR---what lucky friends and what a sweet memory to give them.

All that work and planning and you've accomplished SO MUCH---how I'd love to do such creative, beautiful parties again! I Know the work that goes into such an occasion at home.

Looking forward to LOTS of photos of this marvelous tea.
