ReplyDeleteThe are not indigenous here - I planted the seeds from Missouri and it took several years to get them going - they are biennials that bloom the second year and reseed. If you wanted seed I could send you some but would need an address and send them in the fall!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Queen Anne's Lace, but it doesn't hold up in a vase of cut flowers. Oh how I wish it did. I love to be able to pick my flowers and bring them inside. Maybe I need to plant some just to enjoy in the garden. Your QALace is so beautiful.

DeleteThese grow wild everywhere in our area (NW WA) - they will come into your garden too - and it is wonderful when it happens - makes a nice meadow effect.

ReplyDeleteThis was a good year for QAL growing in the fields, they've flourished well with all our rain. The seeds from the pink plant I found last year have germinated and I'll be excited next year to see if the flowers will be pink again.

Good Saturday Morning! For some reason I don't understand I follow your blog (and have for a long time), but am not having it come through on the new post lists. That means I have to be thinking and go to my bookmarks and catch up. I do enjoy seeing your pretty garden with all the Queen Anne's Lace and other flowers. Next spring will be a good time for me to plant some seeds as I will have more time to do the really early garden preparation. Also, your Tea in the Garden post with the new cup and saucer and the lovely linens was beautiful! Hope to take a short road trip this fall and get down your way. I love to see the Queen Ann's Lace in the fields here. They are often accompanied by pink clover, Rose Campion and thistle for a lovely random and wild arrangement. I love the thought of the flowers as doilies!
