A SNOWLADY TEA for "Friends Sharing Tea"

Dear blogging friends:
I hope you are keeping warm and
cozy with a nice cup of tea!

The Snowlady is patiently waiting for the
cookies
 to come out of
the oven to enjoy for tea time!

If you would like to bake some of these cookies,
I think you would like them.
I know children do love them!

Orange Slice Candy Cookies:
Featuring orange slices or Goelitz Peach Juicy Candy

Mix these:
1 ½ cup brown sugar,  ½ C shortening, 2 Cup plain flour,
1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp salt, 3 eggs
Now set this aside!!!
Now mix in another bowl:
1 lb orange slices - cut along their grooves
1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 cup flour
and 1/2 cup coconut (or nuts)
Also add ¼ cup water for moisture
Add the 2 mixes together.

Drop by heaping tablespoon onto Greased cookie sheet or
parchment paper bake 12-15 minutes
 – 350 degrees makes about 30 cookies
Cookies will be light in color

I plan to freeze some of these
along with others to
enjoy later down the line!

  8. I have always admired that Snowman tea set and how lovely that you have so many pieces of it. Those cookies sound fabulous!

We are getting dozens of gold finches at the feeder these days. It sure warms my heart to look out the window and watch them feasting. Of course there are always lots of chickadees around too.

We have had blizzard conditions here the past two days as well as very cold temps. Our winter has arrived early this year. Oh, woe! They actually closed the whole Island down this morning. It looks a bit better out there right now. At least my hubby made it home from work safe and sound and for that I'm very thankful!

Thank you for hosting, Bernideen, and Merry Christmas!

  14. Dearest Bernideen,
first of all I have to thank you for such a charming header, it truly speaks to our hearts and then, as for your wonderful post, your Snowlady express all the joy we all feel while waiting for some cookies to be ready, she's really fascinating !

I've shared a post about a traditional Christmas cake from Emilia Romagna, where I have some roots of mine, which is simply perfect with a cup of hot tea also if our tradition is to eat a slice of it to finish our Christmas meal.

Wishing you all my best for your Holiday Season, Sweetie,
may it be Peaceful and Joy-filled as never before,
    with much love and gratitude

    Xx Dany
