WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY for "Tea In The Garden"

It's a beautiful day and right now
the shade is on this north side
of the house - so let's sit and
chat over a nice
cup of tea!

I thought I'd share the picnic basket I stained and decoupaged with Edith Holden's art work from the "The
Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady".
 I have really enjoyed revisiting
 this old craft of decoupage.

A bouquet made with
 flowers from my garden:

It is so thrilling having some of my
foxgloves come up that I planted last
year.  They would never come back
in Colorado so this is wonderful.

I love old vintage linens -
but most of you know that.

There is a work table for decoupage set
up just inside this sliding glass door
and I can sit with the door open
and hear the pond and enjoy the garden.

It's hard to believe it is almost June!

  1. Good morning, Bernideen! I so love your outdoor teas, and your bench is just adorable, along with your pretty table and chairs. You sure are making such pretty decoupaged pieces, and lovely bouquets. That lady teapot is just darling. I wish I could sit and enjoy a cup of tea, and then look around your beautiful yard. Thanks for hosting and have a happy week.

  2. Such a beautiful garden setting for tea and so many fun things out there. My post about the Patio Courtyard is a great new place for tea and reading... too bad I didn't have tea on that little table when I took the picture for the post! Thank you for providing the link party... I hope you have a wonderful week. :)

  8. Bernideen, love it all! Just gorgeous! I always drink tea from my Blue Danube cup and saucer, but ... Have you ever had a guest at a tea party ask you for coffee? I know, incredibly rude! But with my coffee concentrate I can quickly and easily make a cup of coffee for such a person without getting into a big deal. Because I refuse to offer coffee at my afternoon teas!
