CELEBRATING BEATRIX POTTER'S 150th ANNIVERSARY for "Tea In The Garden"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
BEATRIX POTTER!

Yes, we still love her style, her story, memories of her, her garden, her art and everything else about her!

One can not think of Beatrix without remembering all the colorful characters
she drew and wrote about in her
best selling children's books.

I am also sharing some photos of pages from
 the journal produced by
Warne Publishing:

Today we are celebrating the upcoming
July 28th celebration in memory of her.
I love Beatrix so much, I have designed my
garden in honor of her.  I have frogs near the
pond and out in the yard I have
a large rabbit like Mr. Peter Rabbit and a
cat much like Miss Tabitha and a goose like Jemina Puddleduck and also a frog like Jeremy Fisher who he is busy staying cool up by the pond.

The garden statuary used to be
 in my earlier Colorado garden.

Let's lift our teacups today to Beatrix.  I participate in a
Face Book group called "Afternoon Tea Across America"
and the lovely card in the collage below
was sent to me in an exchange from Belinda.

Here are several links about the celebration:

I was out in the garden early Thursday
to do this post because it was supposed to be
- are you ready for this? - 100 degrees!  I have
been going out in the mornings and evenings
for a few minutes but mostly staying
 cool inside
during the day.

As a VERY LATE NOTE - you will love this post
if you love Beatrix Potter:  https://happywonderer.com/2016/07/27/beatrix-potter/

  11. Bernideen, I'm the queen of Beatrix Potter in my circle, but I don't have a single blog post with photos of any Potter stuff! So I posted a little flowery snack set, perfect in the garden.

  19. Hello Bernideen. What a lovely post. I just want to step into some of those pictures. I see we share the same treasured BP journal scrapbook. It is such a favorite! This swap was so much fun to participate in, and I hope you will get a chance to check out my tea and swap as well. Michele over at The Nest at Finch Rest, suggested I link up with you, and I am so glad she did.
    Blessings, Heather
