MUCH NEEDED RAIN

We were so happy to hear some
 heavenly fireworks
last night which
brought glorious rain.
This morning I went out
to make a little bouquet.

Sweet little birds also were out in
the garden enjoying the cooler air.

This is a welcomed cool day.

Out in the creek there is fresh new rainwater.

The ground is truly wet:

  1. Your bouquet looks so sweet, really beautiful. Also love the birdbaths in your garden. Glad you got some rain, here it is really dry too after some weeks of hot weather. Temperatures of more than 30 degr.C. on a few days, we are not used to that here.

  3. We had tons of rain, then it got hot and we haven't had any for over a week. I'd love a good soaking and so would the garden!

  4. We too received rain and it was a blessing, what a drought we're having this summer. The bouquet is beautiful and I'm enjoying your new yard along with you - love the pillar birdbath.

  9. You're a great floral designer, Bernideen, and I LOVE your pond! Beautiful! Glad you got rain. You might consider rain barrels. We have 4, and each has 55 gal capacity. We enjoy using the rain water for adding water to the pond and watering the garden. Have a great week!

  10. Hello Bernideen,

It's been so hot and humid here. So today's severe rain was welcomed. Hopefully, it will cool things off a bit.

    Your garden is looking beautiful.

  17. We had a wet spring, but it has been much drier this summer. We've been getting some rain this past week/weekend and my garden is so thankful! With the high temps I need to get out and cut some things back, but have been putting it off.

I'm off to do it now!

Lovely garden you have, and that's a sweet bouquet!

  21. Hi Bernideen,

I love your flower arrangements and am happy for you that you are enjoying a rainy day.

I read your previous post and discovered that you are discontinuing the Monday BTTCG Blog Party. I have been finding it difficult to post one blog each week so I do understand. It really was such fun but in the summer I find I am kept very busy with gardening, cutting the grass and watering outside and less time on the computer. Thank you so much for hosting this and I loved seeing your progress on your new home. Blessings, Karen

  23. What a lovely bouquet!! Beautiful colors and arrangement. Glad to hear you got some rain. I notice my few little potted plants on my deck do so much better with real rain water versus my watering them.
